Mike Tomlinson

Mike Tomlinson is a film-maker, photographer and science writer with many years experience. He has written and directed numerous documentaries for the BBC and other broadcasters such as Channel Four, ITV, WGBH (Boston) and Discovery. He specialises in the subject areas of science, information technology, medicine and health, natural history and the environment.

As well as being an experienced writer and director, Mike has worked as a 16mm and 35mm cinematographer. Drawing on these skills, he now regularly works as director/cameraman on HD video projects ('self-shooting') and also as a writer and photojournalist for printed media.

Mike Tomlinson writes for newspapers, magazines and specialist publications, particularly on science, information technology and medical subjects.

He also works as Creative Director, developing and consulting on content for new digital platforms as well as for conventional publication.
